Marimekko and Prada Work the Grid

Prada always comes up with the goods. Patterned scarves mixed up with the grid. All slightly out of kilter. No matchy matchy. I love it. And I want the clutch.

A couple of the dresses reminded me of the latest Marimekko prints by Mika Piirainen.

His designs seem to be taking this iconic Finnish company back to their roots.

The founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia, said, “A woman is sexy, not the dress.” Too right.
