Designer Agnes B only ever does stripes in a particular measurement – 1.2/1.2cm or 6/6cm.  They can be elegant or a bit edgy depending on the colour mix.

Then there is Cornish Ware which is very much a classic – a domestic classic.

Horizontal thoughts reminded me to share an image of one of the most beautiful churches in Northern Italy, Basilica di San Zeno, Verona.

Remember when Madonna caused all sorts of upset with her neighbours by painting her wall in cream and crimson stripes?  Well the stripes were inspired by a 10th century church in Portofino, Italy, called St Martins, similar Romanesque style to San Zeno.
