The Sound of Jade

Another stunning piece from the National Gallery of Victoria.

The bowl, from the second half of the 18th century, was purchased in 2008. Good call.

It glows when you come across it in the Asian art section of the NGV.

Apparently jade has a musical tone. I wonder what this bowl sounds like?

Noble, beautiful, pure, and incorruptible.
