Chairs Enough

Architect Richard Neutra designed a collection of houses in LA in 1942. The buildings no longer exist but the chairs he made to put in them are still being made today.

He came up with the Boomerang chair for ship yard workers in this San Pedro community project. It was a low priced product constructed using plastic strapping and plywood.

The chair has since been reissued using materials more likely to be found in swish magazines.

But I think I prefer this other Boomerang Chair designed by Danish due Hvidt and Nielsen.
